What's in a Name
Why In the Aura? The name In the Aura uses different definitions of the word aura.
Definition one: the distinctive atmosphere or quality that seems to surround and be generated by a person, thing, or place; any invisible emanation, especially a scent or odor.
I believe that we experience the world through our senses. Though it is not often discussed, there is a sense of smell with our emotions. When you think of a kind friend or a beloved grandparent there is a scent or range of scents attached to that thought. The places we went as children, our favorite stores and restaurants, everything has a scent. The truth is, we associate scent to places, people, and memories. Because these things have auras.
Definition two: a sensation, as of lights or a current of warm or cold air, preceding an attack of migraine or epilepsy.
Each of of these candles identifies with personal characteristics. They describe us or people we know. They inspire self identification. I learned to identify myself "in the aura". Many years ago, I struggled with intense and frequent migraines. I was going to school, working, and involved in several community activities. Having migraines and experiencing the auras, I realized how determined I was. I realized I was strong. I was a fighter. I still am. It was in the negative situation I found the positives about myself. As you enjoy these candles, I hope you too discover how many things you have overcome. The "aura" you pushed through.
Remember: It is In the Aura that we shine!
